Where does the slogan Woman, Life, Freedom come from?

Woman Life Freedom is a slogan derived from the Kurdish motto “Jen Jian Azadi”. Under this motto, all Iranians—regardless of race, religion, or gender—have united in their fight against the terrorist, conservative, and radical regime known as the “Islamic Republic” of Iran. It is believed that women were the first individuals to face suppression and oppression. Therefore, true freedom for everyone can only be achieved when women, who are the source of life, are free.
