Wishing well or Chah –e Arezo is a collection of short stories in the genre of fiction with a hint of psychology written by Zahra Pedram Jafari. This book consists of two sections; the first section includes stories about Iran. These stories cover the writer’s perception of events, social interactions, culture, old customs and their impacts on people’s daily lives and their self-growth.

The second section includes stories that cover events and interactions after immigrating to Australia. In these stories, the writer tries to describe the struggles and experiences of characters and issues surrounding self-analyzing and self-growth in a new culture through narrating entertaining stories of their daily lives.

چاه آرزو نوشتۀ زهرا پدرام جعفری، مجموعۀ داستانهای کوتاهی است با تم اجتماعی و روان شناختی متشکل از دو بخش. بخش اول حکایاتی است ازسالهای زندگی نویسنده در ایران. برداشت شخصی او از حوادث پیرامونش وتاثیر روابط اجتماعی و آداب و رسوم نهادینه شده در زندگی روزانۀ مردم بر رشد شخصیت و بالندگی فکری افراد. بخش دوم این مجموعه، حکایاتی است از سالهای زندگی نویسنده در خارج از ایران. سالهای سخت و آموزندۀ مهاجرت. سالهای خودشناسی و دگرشناسی در جامعه ای به شدت فردگرا و سرمایه داری.
